Learning with Music - Entertaining and Educational

When kids are entertained and interested in their activities, learning takes place naturally. Often they discover and learn on their own, but sometimes an idea gently introduced from another can spark a child in a new learning adventure. Each Friday the Entertaining and Educational link-up is a wonderful place to find ideas to light the learning flame.

Dyan at And Next Comes has an extensive piano background and incorporates music into learning in a very unique way.

Many education minded parents enjoy centering a weeks activities on a particular theme or children's story book. This week Dyan used this technique, but focused her activities around the musical opera interlude Flight of the Bumblebee. She was able to incorporate writing, patterns, composer study, science and more all with music as the backbone. Browsing her blog is worth the time.

Thank you to all who linked-up last week and welcome to those of you who linked with Entertaining and Educational for the first time. I hope you will return each week. Please grab a button and join in.
