Swimming in the Adriatic Sea

The weather in Dubrovnik, Croatia was hot! Stifling hot. Approaching 100 degrees. Walking on the wall around the city was fun, gorgeous and hot. The water was blue, beautiful and inviting.

There are several locations just outside the wall with easy access to the water, and we couldn't resist the opportunity to take a dip.

Well the water was cold! Heart stopping cold. You know how sometimes it's hard to breath when you jump into a lake or a swimming pool.

What a lovely afternoon.

  1. What a fantastic place to swim! We live beside Lake Michigan in Wisconsin and we can relate to cold water!

    1. Lake Michigan is wonderful. I grew up in Michigan on the other side and miss the lake very much. Now we have to drive a long way to swim in places other than a swimming pool.

  3. Yes I have been to Croatia before and know exactly what you mean! The sun is so hot the water looks so inviting but it's freezing! I did get used to it though and it was lovely.
