Wanted - One Grandma
Must have lots of energy, like to clean and be willing to play with children. Hours - Every morning and occasional longer hours while the mother is away. Will pay room and board.Well we are on our own again. It was very nice having back-to-back Grandma visits to help us through this difficult time. They were both extremely helpful. Now that they're gone we have to try a new plan.
My husband said he would mop and clean bathrooms daily. I will dust, vacuum, and wipe down door knobs and light switches. School will continue until Christmas and then we will take a much needed two week break while Jemma enters into another intensive phase of treatment.

It's strange to say but life has really felt quite normal over the past few days. We have a bit of snow and the kids have gone sledding the last three days in a row. They've built snowmen and made snow angels. They have even been playing with their energetic, happy friend from down the street. I think the pictures say it all.

So happy to hear that Jemma is feeling well! Looking forward to coming for a visit in February - not even close to as good as having a grandma there, but I will play the doting aunt. :)
ReplyDeleteEveryone is looking forward to your visit.
ReplyDeleteIt is wonderful that your husband is helping out so much in addition to having to work full time. If I lived closer I would volunteer to clean once a week to help you out.
ReplyDeleteLovely to see the photos and hear of a few days of life being as normal. I hope you all have a lovely Christmas break together. I hope we get to see your snow soon too! Thank you for linking to County Kids.
ReplyDeleteThe children just all look so happy, their wee faces are glowing. I'm a tad jealous of your snow though :)
