Strasbourg, France

Strasbourg in the Alsace region of France is located near the German border. The region has changed hands between France and Germany several times. We recently took a trip to this unique city. It was really just a great place to stroll around.

Since the city is lined with canals, a boat tour is an excellent way to see the sites.

The tour brings visitors through the wooden locks,

and provides water-side views of the many half-timbered structures throughout the city.

Although a lot can be seen from the boat, a walk through the Palais Rohan
and the Notre Dame Cathedral are definitely worth it. Click here to see more from Strasbourg.

  2. Awesome pictures, thanks! I just finished listening to "Becoming Marie Antoinette", and these places were all mentioned, so it's cool having a visual to go with it.:-)

  3. Hi. I found your blog on Hip Hop Homeschool Blog. We are military homeschooling family living in Texas now, but we lived in Heidelberg from 2006-2010. If you live in that area I bet we have mutual friends! We miss traveling in Europe sooo much!
