Half-Timbered Houses

In Half-Timbered structures the wooden framing is exposed. The spaces in-between are filled with plaster or other material. This construction technique was common during the middle ages. In modern times half-timber construction is sometimes immitated by applying a false facade.

The city of Strasbourg, France is filled with half-timbered houses. I was amazed by the bright colors.
