Located in the Rhineland-Pfalz area of Germany, Trier was once under Roman rule.
During that time the Romans built an Amphitheater.
The Romans also built a bath.
Trier was a walled city and the Porta Niagra, built over 2000 years ago, was the city entrance gate.
The pink building is the Electoral Palace currently used as administrative offices. Attached to the back of it is a huge basillica originally built as a throne room.
